Divine Pet, Forsaken People 【Ghost Studio Port】
Game synopsis
A work from the author of Andy and Leyley's Coffin! Divilethion (God's Abandoned Pet)
Once upon a time, there was a nameless little village of about four hundred villagers, all of whom held deep reverence for the village's guardian deity—Divilethion. Whenever disaster struck, the villagers never relied on their own strength, but blindly prayed to the guardian deity for help, offering human hearts as sacrifices. In their eyes, Divilethion was benevolent and kind; as long as someone was willing to give their life for the village, the whole village would receive the god's protection and remain safe. What a wonderful faith—as long as you weren't the one chosen as the sacrifice.
While pregnant with him, Lynn's mother fell gravely ill, and in her sickness she could only turn to Divilethion for help. This time, Divilethion did not demand a human heart, but instead asked her to "adopt out" the child she would bear to him as a pet. Lynn's mother agreed, and because Lynn was a child "favored" by Divilethion, his mother never showed him much affection. In the whole family, only his younger brother Maro held no rejection toward Lynn, and was instead deeply close to him.
However, this time, the villagers once again prayed to Divilethion for a bountiful harvest. By now, Lynn had become one of the god's high priests, and the only soft spot in his heart was his younger brother Maro—which stirred the deity's jealousy. And so, Divilethion decided to choose Maro as the sacrifice. Faced with this choice, what will Lynn do? Will he obediently submit to the god's will, or betray the god, take his brother and flee this land, abandoning all the villagers?
