Ren'Py → Spark(no unzipping) RPG Maker → RPGViewer(unzipping required)

Prepare emulator

Please search for and buy an emulator on Taobao (Ren'Py games use Spark, RPG Maker games use RPGViewer), and ask the seller for install instructions.

Download game files

Download the game's PC package (.7z) from this site.

Import / Extract

First try importing the .7z directly into Spark (no unzipping, lowest effort). If it won't open, extract it with an unzip app and take a look: Has a game folder → still a job for Spark; Has a www folder, or js and data folders → use RPGViewer instead and select the folder containing them.

Run & play

Open the game files with the emulator to start playing. If the archive has a date folder at the top, go one level deeper.

The enhanced edition of Among the Sleep is improved in visuals, a digital artbook, and an integrated soundtrack, adding more pajamas to choose from, more complex puzzles and more spectacular game effects, new dialogue, and a brand-new museum level. In this level you can explore the behind-the-scenes story and experience footage and design concepts that were cut from the final game and never publicly revealed. The game builds its horror atmosphere through ambiance and exploration rather than through scoring or combat systems. In Among the Sleep you are fragile, frightened, and trying to make sense of this world.

What people are saying
"I just couldn't put it down!" - Kotaku
"[...] the game is extremely successful at crafting a wonderful horror atmosphere, full of childish anxiety, while telling a serious theme in a dark and heavy way along the journey." - IGN
"This game expresses first-person horror through the eyes and toddling legs of a two-year-old child. It's truly the most fascinating approach I've seen all year. It reminds me of an era when all games were actively exploring new ways to play and new stories." - Eurogamer
