Please search for and buy an emulator on Taobao (Ren'Py games use Spark, RPG Maker games use RPGViewer), and ask the seller for install instructions.

Download the game's PC package (.7z) from this site.

Import / Extract

First try importing the .7z directly into Spark (no unzipping, lowest effort). If it won't open, extract it with an unzip app and take a look: Has a game folder → still a job for Spark; Has a www folder, or js and data folders → use RPGViewer instead and select the folder containing them.

Run & play

Open the game files with the emulator to start playing. If the archive has a date folder at the top, go one level deeper.

Game synopsis

In this BAFTA-winning zen puzzle game, turn a small house into a cozy home.

Winner of the BAFTA Award, Unpacking is a zen game about a familiar experience: taking items out of boxes and placing them one by one in a new home. The game combines block puzzles and home decoration: while creating a comfortable living space, you'll gradually learn about the life of the person whose belongings these are. Across eight moves, you'll get an intimate look at the character's story—even though the character never appears directly, and the story is never told to you outright.
