Game synopsis

Subnautica: Below Zero is the latest chapter in the Subnautica series, an open-world underwater survival game set on an alien ocean planet.

Dive into the Arctic region of planet 4546B and embark on a brand-new expedition into the extreme cold. After crash-landing on the surface, you'll descend into the freezing waters to investigate what happened to your sister...

Explore all-new biomes, creatures, challenges, and story! Subnautica: Below Zero expands the world of Subnautica, delving deeper into the adventure and mysteries introduced in the original.

Uncover the truth—who were the aliens who came here before? Why did they come to this planet? What exactly happened to your sister? And can uncovering the truth heal the pain of losing someone you love?

Brave the cold—the frigid temperatures of the Arctic bring all-new challenges. Craft a warm insulated suit, sip a steaming cup of coffee, and warm yourself beside thermal lilies to hold back the cold.

Forge your own path to survival—build sprawling habitats, scavenge resources, craft equipment, and survive the harsh climate. Ride the Snowfox hoverbike across the snow-covered tundra. Pilot the modular Sea Truck through captivating yet perilous biomes.

Explore the planet—swim beneath shimmering blue twisted bridges, lose yourself in the wonder of crystal caves, delve into the icy caverns of glacial basins, or weave between erupting hydrothermal vents as you discover ancient alien ruins.

Encounter all-new creatures—the unknown lurks around every corner. Swim alongside the giant Titan Holefish, encounter the spine-chilling Shadow Leviathan, and visit the adorable Pengwing. Stay alert. In this strange world, not every creature is friendly.
