Prepare emulator

Please search for and buy an emulator on Taobao (Ren'Py games use Spark, RPG Maker games use RPGViewer), and ask the seller for install instructions.

Download game files

Download the game's PC package (.7z) from this site.

Import / Extract

First try importing the .7z directly into Spark (no unzipping, lowest effort). If it won't open, extract it with an unzip app and take a look: Has a game folder → still a job for Spark; Has a www folder, or js and data folders → use RPGViewer instead and select the folder containing them.

Game synopsis

"This Life I'm Still a Landlord" is an ancient-setting management game built around contract trading. You play as a merchant, starting with peasant contracts and gradually unlocking 12 tiers of contracts, up to the Ministry of War A-Class Contract. Every contract is a gamble: scratch off the coating to reveal the result—either you recover your principal plus profit, or you take a loss.

Once you've saved up silver, invest it in the art of business—decisive action, careful budgeting, avoiding danger, and collecting land rent, using strategy to balance profit and risk. The accountant stops your losses and hedges risk, apprentices help you manage the books automatically, and every bit of resources must be carefully budgeted.

When your mastery of the Ministry of War A-Class Contract peaks, you can present tribute to the Emperor—silver is confiscated and connections are reset to zero, but in exchange you gain permanently boosted annual tribute vouchers and reincarnation blessings. Vouchers dropped by critical hits go into the skill tree: steward collection, personal visits, desperate gambles, fortune favors the bold—trade higher loss risk for critical-hit returns, or turn things around with a huge payoff.

Each tribute is a new beginning, with permanent bonuses stacking ever thicker and vouchers piling up ever higher—between "quit while you're ahead" and "one more round," carve out your own way of doing business.
