Return to Monkey Island is the sudden and exciting new installment from series creator Ron Gilbert, continuing the legendary adventure story of the previous games The Secret of Monkey Island and Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge. Both prior games were co-developed by LucasArts.

Many years have passed since Guybrush Threepwood last matched wits with his nemesis, the zombie pirate LeChuck. His true love Elaine Marley no longer concerns herself with governing the island, and he himself has been drifting about, achieving nothing, never having uncovered the secret of Monkey Island. The trendy young generation of pirates led by Captain Madison has usurped the old guard and taken over, making a mess of Mêlée Island. The famous salesman Stan has also been thrown in prison for committing "marketing-related crimes."

Set foot on familiar islands and chat with new and old friends under dangerous new leadership. Journey into the depths of the ocean, survive all manner of dire predicaments, and explore brand-new unknowns. With supreme glory within reach, the only obstacles left before Guybrush are clever puzzles, bizarre situations, and spicy retorts.

Tread carefully as you traverse the sometimes friendly, sometimes treacherous regions of Mêlée Island, where the administrators who rule the area squeeze old friends and new faces alike without discrimination. When you enter untrodden unknown territories, such as the aptly named Terror Island and the chilling frontier region of Brrr Muda, you'll make some allies and some enemies.
