Prepare emulator

Please search for and buy an emulator on Taobao (Ren'Py games use Spark, RPG Maker games use RPGViewer), and ask the seller for install instructions.

Download game files

Download the game's PC package (.7z) from this site.

Import / Extract

First try importing the .7z directly into Spark (no unzipping, lowest effort). If it won't open, extract it with an unzip app and take a look: Has a game folder → still a job for Spark; Has a www folder, or js and data folders → use RPGViewer instead and select the folder containing them.

Run & play

Open the game files with the emulator to start playing. If the archive has a date folder at the top, go one level deeper.

Game synopsis

Rift Ruins is a roguelite strategy game you can pause, plan and play at any time. You play as Morgan, a mercenary who travels between dimensions and is hired by various factions to delve deep into Bast and try to exploit this new reality. The game blends the tactics of grid-based strategy with the excitement of action. Each level plays out in real time, but you can pause to assess the battlefield, prepare attacks and plan your next move. Use mods and equipment to strengthen your preferred playstyle and defeat enemies from different dimensions.

Every expedition is unique: adapt your strategy on the fly as the dimensions shift. Study each procedurally generated battle and adapt by customizing your playstyle, defeat all enemies and reap rich rewards. But don't worry — death is not the end. So return home, re-equip, and delve in again.
