Prepare emulator

Please search for and buy an emulator on Taobao (Ren'Py games use Spark, RPG Maker games use RPGViewer), and ask the seller for install instructions.

Download game files

Download the game's PC package (.7z) from this site.

Import / Extract

First try importing the .7z directly into Spark (no unzipping, lowest effort). If it won't open, extract it with an unzip app and take a look: Has a game folder → still a job for Spark; Has a www folder, or js and data folders → use RPGViewer instead and select the folder containing them.

Run & play

Open the game files with the emulator to start playing. If the archive has a date folder at the top, go one level deeper.

Game synopsis

Shelter is a post-apocalyptic simulation game that redefines what it means to be a "post-nuclear family." As a survivor, you must gather as many supplies as possible and bring them to your underground shelter, because in this desolate future it will soon become your only home.
When all hope is lost, how will you treat this bleak new world? What will you do when you face countless moral tests and choices every day? Because those choices may directly determine whether your family lives or dies. Amid life's suffering, in this cold and terrifying underground shelter, fight claustrophobia, radiation, and exhaustion. You must leave this poorly protected shelter and go outside, into the deserted wasteland, to find the supplies you need—even if they only buy your family one more day.
