Download the game's PC package (.7z) from this site.

Import / Extract

First try importing the .7z directly into Spark (no unzipping, lowest effort). If it won't open, extract it with an unzip app and take a look: Has a game folder → still a job for Spark; Has a www folder, or js and data folders → use RPGViewer instead and select the folder containing them.

Run & play

Open the game files with the emulator to start playing. If the archive has a date folder at the top, go one level deeper.

Game synopsis

October 6, 1981, begins like any other morning: you wake from a restless sleep, get ready for the day ahead, and drive to the ranger station where you've worked for 11 years. Aurora Hills was once a peaceful community in the Appalachian Mountains, but a series of disappearances has all but shattered that tranquility. As you drive through the now-decaying town, a sense of desolation hangs in the air around you.

When you arrive at the ranger station that morning, Jen isn't there. As the only other park ranger, she likes to start her day early, and by the time you arrive she has already driven out to one of the many closed hiking trails to begin searching for the missing. Following the trail of notes she left behind, you leave the main road to meet up with her, exploring the remote areas of the national park. But when you find her campsite, your worst fears come true: the place is in disarray, her equipment scattered all over the camp, the tent torn open, and Jen is nowhere to be found.

There's no time to turn back now; it's already noon, and darkness falls early this season. Going into the forest alone is bad, and facing the forest at night is worse. You can't abandon Jen now, especially when the clues are still so fresh. You have no choice but to venture deep into the unexplored parts of the national park, places that frightened townsfolk have mythologized into local urban legends. You'd better get going—you may never get a better chance to uncover the dark history of Aurora Hills...
