Prepare emulator

Please search for and buy an emulator on Taobao (Ren'Py games use Spark, RPG Maker games use RPGViewer), and ask the seller for install instructions.

Download game files

Download the game's PC package (.7z) from this site.

Import / Extract

First try importing the .7z directly into Spark (no unzipping, lowest effort). If it won't open, extract it with an unzip app and take a look: Has a game folder → still a job for Spark; Has a www folder, or js and data folders → use RPGViewer instead and select the folder containing them.

Run & play

Open the game files with the emulator to start playing. If the archive has a date folder at the top, go one level deeper.

Game synopsis

A Lovecraftian Choose-Your-Own-Adventure Inspired by 80s and 90s Gamebooks
Omen of the Blight: Plague is inspired by the gamebooks of the 80s and 90s, blending the alien and horror universe created by H.P. Lovecraft with original plots and characters, all guided by your choices, which will lead the story's protagonist through a labyrinthine mystery represented by a terrible disease and the shadows behind it.
Zanzibar, 1896. Dr. Jack Huntington is drafted into service, trying to forget the loss of his wife. However, something evil and ancient is about to overturn his life forever. The shadows that dwell within the bounds of reality seem to converge on a single point: a dreadful disease that threatens the extinction of all humanity.
Yet the disease is only one part of a vast mosaic, and discovering its design may not be easy. Conspiracies, schemes, and trickery conceal the truth, leaving the doctor unable to grasp it.
To connect all the dots, Jack will have to cross a threshold beyond which many before him have lost their minds.
