Story
1980s Tokyo, Japan, is steeped in the extravagance of the bubble era. Towering skyscrapers, a rapidly growing economy and fashionable culture weave together a picture of capitalist prosperity. But beneath this prosperous surface, the shadows of the Cold War and the struggle for power are beginning to stir. Our protagonist Nikolai comes from the Soviet Union; his parents brought him to Japan to settle when he was a child. As an "ordinary high school student," Nikolai has no idea that the world around him is about to be turned upside down. Amid this turmoil, faced with a choice between love and his old best friend, Nikolai must decide whom he can truly trust, and figure out why the powerful big shots who don't care whether ordinary people live or die have suddenly taken an interest in him.

Heroines
Himitsu is Nikolai's childhood friend who grew up alongside him. Kind and loving, she always worries about Nikolai, and sometimes her concern even makes him quite distressed. But will she really be satisfied with this simple friendship? Or has Himitsu's years of sincere feelings for him won her something more?
Katherine is a scar in Nikolai's heart that is hard to erase. As Nikolai's ex-girlfriend, she suddenly left Japan a year ago, leaving him struggling in a whirlpool of pain. With the passage of time, Nikolai might have been able to let go of this painful memory. However, Katherine has recently suddenly returned to Japan, and even joined Nikolai's class. Why did she come back so suddenly? Does she still love Nikolai?
Eri is the granddaughter of Nikolai's school chairman. She is conceited, proud and full of herself, yet full of passion. Is everything really as simple as it seems? Or is there an unspeakable rebellious side hidden behind this glamorous girl?
Kagome is the class representative in Nikolai's class with little presence. Kagome is not popular at school, and she disdains making friends with others. Nikolai never paid much attention to her before, but a recent series of events has brought them into each other's world. Is she really just a socially awkward girl, or does she have some unknown secret?
