Game synopsis
Welcome to the digital adaptation of the beloved board game. Root is an adventure and war game in which 2-4 players battle for control across a vast wilderness.
The cunning Marquise de Cat has seized the woodland realm and seeks to exploit its rich resources. Many forest creatures have gathered under her rule. This faction seeks to accumulate resources and expand the cats' dominion. It may seek the aid of the mysterious Vagabond, who can move freely through the dangerous forest. Though some may sympathize with this faction's ideals and dreams, some older wanderers still remember the Eyrie Dynasties that once ruled the forest.
Now reduced to the remote corners of the map, the Eyrie Dynasties remain proud but are plagued by internal strife. They have recently found a new commander and hope to reclaim the power that is their race's birthright under his leadership.
This land has become a stage for war, and the fate of the forest will be decided here. The players will determine which faction ultimately rules the forest.
