Playing Kafka

Although you've done nothing wrong, one morning you are arrested. You show up for work, but you don't recognize your assistant. Your upbringing has left you with a pervasive sense of guilt. Welcome to Playing Kafka, an adventure about alienation in modern society and unresolved family issues. The game is adapted from three works by the famous absurdist writer and was created together with leading Kafka experts.
Can you win an unfair trial? Is the job real? Can you escape your father's overwhelming presence? When every solution is confounded by a web of ambiguous rules and conspiracies, how will you move forward...

Three books, three game chapters:
The Trial
You face an opaque legal trial and are slowly drawn into an intricate web of bureaucracy. How to handle the vague but insidious accusations is entirely up to you—choose whom to ask for help and how to talk to the judge, the prosecutor, and others as the verdict slowly closes in on you. Does it matter even if you are innocent?
Letter to His Father
This chapter draws inspiration from Kafka's unsent confession to his father and delves into the tension between them. Try to find the right words to help Kafka come to terms with his upbringing. In past scenes, see Franz struggle to connect with his father. Is there still hope for reconciliation?
The Castle
You arrive in a snow-covered village to work as a land surveyor, but you soon discover that nothing is as it seems—the locals whisper about the village castle, which brings more questions than answers every day. Will you be accepted by the castle that remains forever out of reach?
