The high-tech "artificial lifeforms" born from relentless innovation were expected to lead the nation toward a glorious future.
But then the foul smoke that welled up from below drove the artificial lifeforms mad, turning them into rampaging monsters.
A tuner named "Lilac," able to redeem artificial lifeforms,
encounters one such being in a low-level underground laboratory—one deeply connected to the nation's tragedy.
Lilac sets out on a journey together with the artificial lifeform she forms a contract with,
searching for lost memories and precious companions across the vast Land of Smoke and Dust.
