Nightmare×BlackCat ~Chase
Game synopsis
The mortal enemy who took her parents' lives is an ancient calamity resurrected in the modern era—Gen'yosai.
Upon learning the truth, Hibiki Amaha resolves to track down Gen'yosai's whereabouts on her own.
To face its overwhelming power, Hibiki decides to seek out one of the sacred treasures, the "Yasaka Magatama," and turns for help to Miyako Mizuki, a researcher well-versed in the sacred treasures.
This former exorcist had crossed paths with Hibiki several times, and was renowned in her active days for her vast erudition.
Though long retired, she has continued her research on the sacred treasures in recent years.
However—when Hibiki arrives at her door, she is greeted by the grim news that Miyako has already passed away.
In life, Miyako had served as something like a community child counselor, and her home remains a gathering place for children to this day.
On the advice of the house's caretaker, Hibiki decides to stay there for a while, searching through the materials Miyako left behind for clues to the magatama.
One day—Hibiki encounters a mysterious girl.
With gentle golden eyes, the girl calls herself Miku Mitsuzuki and offers to assist Hibiki.
Her true identity is a nekomata who once received Miyako's kindness, and even now she watches over Miyako's home.
Strangely drawn to Hibiki, Miku soon joins her in searching for information on the magatama.
But the investigation, which should have proceeded steadily, takes a sudden turn when Hibiki and Miku are attacked by a local biker gang.
The thugs seem to know about the "power" the two possess, leaving them unable to use their abilities as they wish—and they are ultimately taken captive—
