Game synopsis
In the near future, humanity achieved a leap forward thanks to the discovery of an infinite energy source known as "Akasha Particles."
However, at the same time, the appearance of "Behemoths" knocked humanity down from the top of the ecosystem.
To protect humanity's dwindling sphere of survival, giant humanoid weapons called "Exoskeletons" and their pilots, the "Mercenaries," stepped forward.
The protagonist is a former mercenary who lost his Akasha Particle compatibility due to an accident in his past.
Unable to pilot an Exoskeleton any longer, he mocks himself as "defective" and wanders aimlessly like one who has given up on the world.
Amid such a life, he meets a young girl.
The girl dreams of becoming an Exoskeleton engineer, but the Exoskeleton she built from the blueprints left by her late mother is mocked by those around her as an "antique" and shunned.
Because that Exoskeleton "does not use particles"—an existence utterly at odds with the times.
A defective mercenary who can no longer use particles, and an antique Exoskeleton that uses no particles.
When the two meet, the gears of the story begin to turn slowly.
