This is the story of A Lu and his childhood sweetheart Xiao Hui, who have just celebrated their first wedding anniversary. Every day, A Lu is exhausted from work and neglects emotional communication with his wife. Due to declining performance and a major mistake at work, he faces dismissal. The company's new executive, the burly uncle Gang Tian, takes advantage of the situation, coercing and luring Xiao Hui into serving him with her body to keep A Lu's job. When A Lu discovers this, he instead awakens a cuckold fetish and lets Xiao Hui gradually sink into the abyss. On one hand, all the family's income depends on the husband, while the wife manages the household, raises the children, and handles daily chores. If the husband loses his job, the family could face an economic crisis, falling into more realistic and dire financial problems like cash flow breaks and debt crises. On the other hand, most husbands are away on business trips or work overtime year-round, leaving early and returning late, and when they get home they're too exhausted to do anything but collapse into bed, gradually neglecting the emotional connection between spouses. Due to overwork, they also give up on marital duties altogether. Meanwhile, young wives are at an age of strong desires—thirty like a wolf, forty like a tiger—and after finishing their daily household chores, they have nothing to do and lack spiritual fulfillment and affection, creating an objective factor of sexual frustration that makes them prone to infidelity. And this work happens to have all the aforementioned preconditions perfectly in place.
