Game synopsis
In a remote mountain deep in the wilderness, beyond the dense forest, lies the village of Onikata.
It was supposed to be a deserted village, abandoned by the times, now uninhabited.
Onikata Junichi, a kind young man who lost his parents early and lives with his younger sister Yumi, found a final letter left to his family by his grandfather, who had lost contact with them in Onikata Village twenty years ago, on a certain summer day.
--I have discovered something I should not have discovered.
Feeling a strange pull from the letter, Junichi reassured the worried Yumi and decided to go to Onikata Village alone.
On the way to the now-ruined village, Junichi learned that not only his grandfather, but all the men of the village had also disappeared en masse back then.
What exactly happened in the village twenty years ago?
Then, Junichi had a sorrowful dream.
'Goodbye'
The girl said so, heading toward an eternal farewell.
In the dream, Junichi called out the name of a girl he had never met.
Ayame--.
Through the rustling deep forest, he arrived at Onikata Village.
It was indeed a lonely world, completely beyond human control, decayed and desolate.
That night, staying at his grandfather's residence, Junichi dreamed of the same girl again.
In the dream, the girl was being ●.
Clad in pitch-black bridal attire, her beautiful face twisted in pain, yet she still tried to smile at the voice calling her 'Ayame'.
A strange and lewd dream.
When he woke, Junichi found himself in an unfamiliar place.
Beside him lay a suspicious wooden box.
Driven by curiosity, Junichi opened the lid.
Inside was a doll--identical to the girl who bid farewell in the dream and was ● in the dream.
Then, a girl who looked exactly like that doll, calling herself Ayame, appeared before Junichi.
In this empty village, the two gradually grew drawn to each other.
