This young man, about to attend his graduation ceremony, is sent back to his hometown before he can reach the end of his life.
Fujikawa Michiaki—the protagonist, who mistakenly wore thin spring clothes when leaving Tokyo, now stands in the biting cold wind.
This is a tiny town on the northwestern border.
It has actually been five springs and autumns since he last returned.
But there are still familiar faces in his homeland.
"Welcome back."

Their plain greetings carry a hint of awkwardness, yet somehow put him at ease.
The childhood friend who always acts like an older sister. The energetic, innocent cousin. And... a girl who never existed in his memories.
