Game synopsis
A stone came flying down from the sky. Amid the roar of its fall, a radiant gemstone emitting an eerie glow appeared before the people. "A stone that thinks"—the sages who investigated it became obsessed with studying this gemstone that could understand human language, and from it they created all manner of technology. But in every era, technological progress eventually turns into war. To prevent any single nation from monopolizing this technology, neighboring kings banded together and went to war over the power of the gemstone. That war destroyed most of what the gemstone had created, and when it ended, no one knew where the gemstone had gone.
Time passed, and the stone's power gradually faded from people's lives, until it was no longer needed...
Here lives a boy named Wayne. He believes in the legend of the Summoner of Justice and dreams of becoming the world's greatest summoner. Though those around him call him a coward, his resolve to become a summoner has never wavered. One day, a traveling bard who came to town saw through to the precious thing Wayne had never shown anyone—the existence of the "Legend Cards"—and told him that such cards are scattered across the world. The boy made up his mind on the spot, and set off for distant lands to collect the remaining cards.
